IMCI to be guest speaker and organizer of the Boat and Yacht Thailand 2014 Conference
Boat & Yacht Thailand 2014 Conference is the professional event dedicated to yachts and small commercial boats and intended for maritime safety experts, researchers, boat builders and operators, tourist companies and authorities.
The conference will take place at Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Pattaya on April 4th.
The objectives of Boat and Yacht Thailand 2014 Conference are:
- Bring awareness of safety issues related to small craft design, operation and regulatory work
- Provide discussion platform for marine and tourism industry on safety issues
- Enhance reputation of marine industry and tourism in Thailand
With a growing boating market in Asia IMCI is again doing pioneering work and co-organized this event. Peter Jacops, local Inspector for IMCI in Pattaya will give a presentation on European legislative requirements, the Recreational Sectoral Group as well as on the organization of the ISO small craft technical committee and their published standards
IMCI has today a net of 48 Inspectors covering more than 20 different countries. Until end of 2013 they had certified 1.475 boat manufacturers with 8.487 boat types in total.
